You’ll remember Iio from the oldie “Rapture” which was released ten years ago! (Also in honor of today ((Judgement Day)) I figured this post would be appropriate). Anyway, I was always a huge fan of Iio and loved pretty much every release. Iio is Markus Moser and Nadia Ali and was a NYC based house music group responsible for many house and trance oldies and bombs! Again this is another collaboration that I grew up on and IS without a doubt responsible for Nadia Ali’s huge success in the EDM world. After releasing a few singles and waiting out a couple delays, Markus and Nadia released their debut album “Poetica” in 2005. “Poetica” featured their huge hits like “Rapture”, “Smooth”, and my favorite “At The End”. Nadia Ali went off to pursue her solo career and the group eventually faded away, besides the remix album released in 2007.
Now Markus Moser and Nadia Ali have teamed up again to bring another whole new album called “Exit 110”, but after listening to it I have to say I am a little disappointed. There are some tracks that are good and many with the potential to be good if it gets remix treatment. Some of the tracks though completely fell short. I honestly think this album will be so much better if it gets a remix album, or at least some remixed singles. One track that really stands out from the rest and is the first single from the album is “It’ll Be Like” which definitely has that old school NYC Iio sound. Check it out.
I mentioned this last night, but I figured this deserved its own post. EZ is three days this year and Identity is a new nationwide electronic tour with a lineup that’s an awesome complement to EZ’s lineup without much overlap. Absolutely planning on going to both. Dates and the preliminary lineup for Identity as well as ticket prices for EZ after the jump.
That dope ‘motional upbeat progressive house. If you heard his Armin remix, you pretty much know what to expect. Bros are gonna be extra salty when they realize that Avicii hijacked their boyfriend Pretty Lights’ Etta James sample, but I’m sure they’ll be over it when they’re rolling at EZ this year and they claim this one made them religious. This one was floating around as “ID” for a while.
For all of us losers who couldn’t make it to Ultra. 90 minutes of power pop and hot beats. Recorded live from the other day. Tracklist after the jump. You can D/L it right from the Soundcloud link.
Finally!! All full and hq! Definitely one of the biggest tunes of this year so far! I like the Avicii Remix, But love the Myon & Shane 54 Remix because the vocals aren’t pitched. Looooove!!!
Sick Redo. I remember hearing it at ezoo & going oh wow this song remixed again =/…then kept listening and decided it was pretty hot. Just when I thought I was sick to death of hearing another remix of “Sweet Dreams”.
GOD!!! it’s a fuckin house music take over!!!! everywhere I look I see house music all the sudden. From rappers to britney, everyone is making house music and it’s making me crazy!! Well since everyone loves house music now and can’t get enough of producers like Avicii/Tim Berg/Basto! (Jeez pick an alias psycho) heres a rip of the new Avicii remix of a song taken from Armins new album featuring the vocals of Laura V. (Pictured above) . I have to say though….pretty fuckin awesome. 320kbps rip but not full. Will throw the HQ Full up when I get my hands on it.
